According to a report just released by Nielsen Online, blogs and social media have become more popular than e-mail!
The new study reveals that 66.8% of global internet users accessed blogs and other social media sites, compared to 65.1% for e-mail! OK gals... that means I better get going, huh? I know I have fallen behind on keeping up with this blog, but hopefully soon will get to a place where I can once again focus a whole lot more time to my blog. I have been having computer problems and am in the process of gaining another work area in my Stampin' Pub domain... really! Yay! I can't wait. You will have to come see me when it is all done! Just give me a holler any time on my cell to make sure I am home. I am hoping by Easter I will have it all in a much better order.
At any rate, assuming this trend continues, these statistics, indicitive of the evolution from a Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 world, may have significant implications for your future marketing plans, especially e-mail marketing. Do you find yourself communicating less and less through e-mail? If so, how are you communicating online with friends, family and professional colleagues?
