Sour Cream Container - June Project #2

These are so cute, quick, and very easy to make! They make great little table goodies at celebrations like birthdays and weddings! We made these for our 2nd FREE! project at my June workshops. Heartfelt Thanks -- June Workshop Project #1

 

Sad, but true, Heartfelt Thanks will be retiring in a few short days and will no longer be available for sale from Stampin' Up! I love this set. As I have a hard time with water coloring, this is one of our 2-Step stamping sets that allow you to stamp using different colors of ink easily and giving it a watercolor look. Woo-Hoo!

In this card, I used card stock vellum as my base. Isn't this C@@L? This inspiration came from a swap that I was in a long time ago with StampAttics from a card made by Brenda C. Woo-Hoo! When you first look at this card, the Regal Rose card stock is bordered from the inside layer, meshed with the vellum. Below is the card opened.

Sparkling Friend 24-7 -- May Workshop Card

This is such an easy card, but yet so elegant... great for weddings, birthday, or just because you care! Although it shows "white", I used Very Vanilla card stock to go along with our Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware.

Recipe:
Stamps:  Friends 24-7, On Your Birthday
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, Urban Garden
Ink:  Baja Breeze
Accessories:  Texturz plates -- S'U! Backgrounds 1, 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, Designer Label Punch, Pretties Kit, Hodgepodge Hardware vanilla, Organza Ribbon, Dimensionals.
Tip:  I had trouble trying to get my Very Vanilla punched card stock to stick to my hardware. If I taped it direct to the paper, it did not look right with the hardware. So, I took a piece of dimensional (from the side of the sheet), placed it in the center of the back of the punched image, and gently placed it where I thought I would want it. Then I placed the hardware over it to make sure it was where I wanted to place it. Once placed, I pressed down my image piece, then laid the hardware over it to punch my holes for the brads; attached the hardware; taped designer paper piece to card stock; and wha-la!

I was able to make this at our last StampAttics group meeting in April due to my sales! Woo-Hoo! Love it! Thanks Julie S. for the idea!

Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die... C@@L!

Is this C@@L! or What?!?  I received this from a stampin' bud! Love it!!! She used our Stampin' Up! exclusive Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die #114517, $7.95. The impression was made on a piece of vellum, then layered on white card stock... C@@L Dude!!!  She stamped "Thanks" on the Whisper White card stock. Punch a bit of a border with our Eyelet Border punch; add a bit of ribbon (which also helps hide your adhesive) and wha-la!!! How easy is this?!?

Wonderful Favorites -- May 2006 Workshops

Forgot where the inspiration came from, but I am so glad there are so many talented demonstrators that love to share! This stamp set has so many wonderful words in it to make that perfect card! This was our May make-n-take card at my workshops.

Recipe for this card:
Stamp Set:   Wonderful Favorites
Paper:  Baja Breeze CS, Basic Gray CS, Walk in the Park DSP, Vellum CS
Ink:  Basic Gray
Accessories:  #114514 Simple Flower Sizzix Embosslit die, #114511 Little Leaves Sizzlits die, Eyelet Border punch, Pretties Kit
HINTS:   1) When using the eyelet border punch (to make the border under the gray) with vellum, cut an extra, same-size piece of copy paper. Place both the copy paper and the vellum card stock together and punch the border, keeping them together. This will keep your vellum card stock from bunching up in your punch.   2) Also, I used a dimensional in the center on the bottom of my embosslit flower. Before I stuck it down, I put the end of the stem of the Little Leaves vellum on the dimensional to make sure it would hold down. I also used some non-SU vellum tape to hold down the other end under the leaf.
