Stamp-N-Nuggets and We're Lovin' It!

Treat Box--Halloween or Thanksgiving :)

Here is one of our projects which was made at our Stamp Fair on August 15th. I will be featuring the projects made this week on my blog (except for Tuesday, when I will start a BRAND NEW... Tuesday Tutorial).

This one used our Big Shot Sizzix Fancy Favor die #115965. Guests had their choice of making either a handled treat box for Halloween or a non-handled Thanksgiving treat box.

Supply List:
Stamps:  Bright Blessings or Batty jumbo wheels
Paper:  Pumpkin Pie CS, Ruby Red CS
Ink:   Basic Black Jumbo Cartridge
Accessories:  Curly Label Punch, Modern Label Punch, Fancy Favor Die, Big Shot, Crop-A-Dile or double slot punch, Sticky Strip, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, Vintage Brads.

Altoids box in disquise -- Big Shot Flowers :)

Another 3-D item I swapped for at Convention 2009 from Jacque H. Isn't this just so stinkin' cute!?! Doesn't get much easier than this.

Altoid tin is approximately 3-3/4" x 2-3/8" and she is using one of our 2009-10 In-Colors, Dusty Durango, card stock and 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, along with Razzleberry Lemonade DSP and Flower Assortment Designer Brads for the center of the flower. Sizzix dies used are #114520 Flower, Daisies #2 and #114511 Little Leaves. She did two of each of the 3 different sizes of flowers so you can turn them a little to make the bigger flower image more full.

Faux Alligator-Skin Embossed Purse

Here's a 3-D item we made for one of our projects with Late Night Stampers pre-Convention Stamp Camps. C@@L!!! Love being a member of this group. This is using one of our 2009-10 In-Colors, Bermuda Bay card stock, Jumbo Designer Grommets, Jumbo Eyelets, 1/4" Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, VersaMark pad, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Bone Folder, and Sizzix Box #2 and Stampin' Up!'s exclusive Top Note.

To create the faux skin, simply take and press your VersaMark pad on your card stock -- using plenty. Put plenty of clear embossing powder on, tap off, use your bone folder to draw lines randomly, and emboss! Wha-la!

     

Sense of Time -- Convention Pal :)

 

Here is what I got from a new Convention pal, Denise K, who also introduced me to two of her GREAT new Canadian friends who were helping her through her very first Convention... Hi! Linda and Lynda!!!  Isn't it adorable. She found some mini notebooks for something like 2 or 3 for $1 that are appriximately 3-1/2" by 4-1/4", and used them along with our beautiful new in-color 2009-10, Soft Suede, card stock and 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon.  THANKS SO MUCH!!! to Denise!

Fifth Avenue Floral -- Sudsol Swap Card

 

Here is a card I made for Convention 2009 Sudsol Card Front Swap. Love it! Greta B. of our StampAttics local group did this during one of our basket swaps. Isn't it C@@L???

Recipe:
Stamps:  Fifth Avenue Floral, Upsy Daisy
Paper:  Almost Amethyst, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Inks:  Basic Brown, VersaMark, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White Craft
Accessories:  1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain, Heat Tool, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer

Roses are cut and embossed.  I also did a similar version, for another swap I was in, using black ink with black and white card stock as done below.

Word Window Pop-Up Card Tutorial :)

Here's an easy way to do a quick pop-up card as was done in my TnT Night (Tools & Technique) last Thursday... Dyn-A-Mite!!!

Recipe:
Stamps:  Animal Stories, your favorite word phrase
Paper:   Chocolate Chip CS, Old Olive CS, So Saffron CS, W-White CS, Tall Tales DSP
Inks:  Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  5/8" Jumbo Brads, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Word Window Punch, Sizzix Movers & Shapers with Punch Windows

Notes:  I did not like the openness of the back of the card, so my very helpful group at TnT night came up with the idea of simply placing another 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of chocolate chip card stock to the back of the card -- this way, we could still use our Sizzix to punch the window out on the front of the card. Also, here are my cuts:  white = 2-1/8 x 1-7/8; so saffron = 2-1/4 x 2; and old olive = 2-1/2 x 2-1/4.
