I'm back... Convention pics continue :)

Hey stampers :)

I am so sorry I have been missing from action, but, as my back-yard-neighbor used to keep reminding me... I am not getting any younger -- hope you are doing well in Texas, Maxine!!!  Yes, Convention 2010 was soooooooooooo much FUN!! I hope if you did not go this year, you will go with me next -- either as a demonstrator (YAY!) or as a guest :)

 

Here we are on Wednesday night, the eve before Convention, where Stampin' Up! threw a Flower Power Party where we all had a groovy time! Here is our group that were able to attend this year. Meet Martie Shea :)

Today I decided to take a day of vacation and since my hubby, Mikey, works long-day weekends, he was off, so we took a day trip drive over to Jefferson City, Missouri, to deliver our 2,000 cards that were packaged for the From Our Hearts group back on Saturday, June 5th, by the 19 people who helped make Stamp For A Cause happen!  Woo-Hoo!  We drove 447 miles and it was a beautiful day.

Martie is such a great inspiration to put our cards --that we are no longer using or needing -- to use for our overseas troops. You can read much more about From Our Hearts organization by clicking HERE.

So, if you have any card fronts or full cards sitting around that you are not going to use, please help our troops overseas by dropping those cards off to me or mailing them to Martie herself. They will then be completed to make a full card, if necessary, individually packaged with an envelope, and shipped to our servicemen and women serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.  They in turn can then send "special" cards home to their family and friends while serving their country and making our lives much safer. Help support our troops!

Sorry Stampers... been another one of those busy, busy weeks -- unfortunately, no time for stamping :(  Life happens!  Last night I got two of our grandsons... Love It! But, it keeps me very busy, too. I will be getting their older brother at some point today, as their other grandma is having a very extensive surgery. But, have no fear, please follow our trail...

What an incredible day of Adventure I have planned for you on April 27th. I am doing a shout out now for you to "Save The Date" to visit my blog. I, along with many other ladies, are posting ideas with stamp sets and accessories from the new Mini Occasions catalog. On this day and this day only will the adventure take place.

You will be traveling from blog to blog all around the United States of America and possibly other countries as well. At each stop you will have a chance to win blog candy, to view tasteful samples and see the rich culture of Stampin' UP! up close and personal only the way a true adventurer can.

Blogs More Popular than Emails :)

According to a report just released by Nielsen Online, blogs and social media have become more popular than e-mail!

The new study reveals that 66.8% of global internet users accessed blogs and other social media sites, compared to 65.1% for e-mail!  OK gals... that means I better get going, huh? I know I have fallen behind on keeping up with this blog, but hopefully soon will get to a place where I can once again focus a whole lot more time to my blog. I have been having computer problems and am in the process of gaining another work area in my Stampin' Pub domain... really!  Yay! I can't wait. You will have to come see me when it is all done! Just give me a holler any time on my cell to make sure I am home. I am hoping by Easter I will have it all in a much better order.

At any rate, assuming this trend continues, these statistics, indicitive of the evolution from a Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 world, may have significant implications for your future marketing plans, especially e-mail marketing.  Do you find yourself communicating less and less through e-mail?  If so, how are you communicating online with friends, family and professional colleagues?  Let me know by leaving a message in the Comments section below.
