Stamp-N-Nuggets and We're Lovin' It!

October Workshop Projects :)

Hurry!  It is not to late to get your October workshop in to make both of these two cards!

This first one is so very simple, but elegant! Found this surfing the internet; added the dove and wha-'la! Used the Hostess set of Peaceful Season with Real Red, but wouldn't the Cherry Cobbler make a yummy card as well? And to add some sparkle to this card, we used our Shimmery White card stock rather than the white shown above.

Then we did this one using Just Believe. Got a lot of whining with the tiny cutting of the flowers stamped with Tempting Turquoise, but doesn't it make this card soooo pop!?! Then they had to also cut out the Thank You box with flowers as well. We put this on with dimensionals to also make it pop! Our other base color is Soft Suede. The leaf stamp on the base is stamped off to create a background.

Owl for You! Isn't this just stinkin' cute?!?

We just this last weekend held our quarterly meeting with StampAttics in Galesburg, IL 61401, just minutes away from Abingdon, IL 61410, where I live. Woo-Hoo! What a meeting! We usually always hold a swap, but this time, along with our regular card swap, we could also participate in an Anything-But-A-Card Big Shot Swap! Here is what I made to swap. A BIG thanks to Charlotte H for the really cute 3-D idea!

This is one of those really simple projects with NO stamping, just crafting!  All done with die cuts and punching.

Items used:

Card Stock:  Really Rust, Kraft

Die Cuts:   Scallop Circle, Scallop Circle #2, Top Note, Tulipe

Punches:   3/4" Circle (eyes), 3/4" Square (nose)

Accessories:   Big Shot, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, 3" x 3" Post-It Note

Oh, and if you check out his tummy, you will find this to be a Post-It Note Holder. How stickin' cute is that? Add a strip or two of magnet and you can put this on your frig for a quick note to write!

Instructions

1. Holding the Wild Wasabi pre-cut/pre-scored textured card stock vertically, fold the card in half on pre-scored line. This is a pice of textured card stock, 4-1/2" x 11-1/2" and pre-scored at 1-1/8" and 5-5/8".
2. Score the non-scored end at 1-3/8".
3. Stamp "You Make My Life a Beautiful Thing." in Night of Navy ink on Kraft
4. Cut out rectangles  1-5/8" x 1-1/4"  from Bashful Blue, Real Red, and Bordering Blue card stock
5. Cut out rectangles  1-1/2" X 1-1/8"  from Wild Wasabi textured card stock. Adhere to above rectangles.
6. Stamp with Bordering Blue ink the letters d a d on Kraft card stock using the Jumbo Outline Alphabet. Cut out letters and adhere to the Wild Wasabi tuxtured rectangles.
7. Cut strips 4-1/2" x 1/2"  of Bordering Blue, Real Red, Kraft, and Bashful Blue card stock; adhere to front of card.
8. Using Dimensionals, adhere DAD on top of strips
9. Using Dimensionals, adhere "You Make My Life A Beautiful Thing"
10. Fold each bottom end of card along the scored lines, laying one flap over the other; adhere
11. Insert tie into tie holder
